Because we are open and staffed during those late nights, weekends and all holidays to provide urgent care services, our fees for the care given and procedures performed may be higher than a normal veterinary visit.
We do understand. That's why we make sure you are provided with an estimate for services during your initial visit. When you are dealing with a sick or injured pet, the last thing you want is a surprise on your vet bill. A deposit equal to the high end of the estimate is required for ALL pets needing hospitalization and/or treatments. As we gather diagnostic information and assess response to treatment, we may find that your pet requires additional care. Our policy is to call owners of all hospitalized patients when that need arises and discuss any more care that may be required and those costs. We encourage you to ask questions so that you feel comfortable with what is going on.
Pet owners may ask us for estimates to treat and diagnose their pet over the phone. Please understand that we are unable to give you an accurate estimate without first examining your pet at our facility. We feel that one of the most valuable services we can offer you is the initial consultation with one of our veterinarians. The doctor will review the history with you, perform a complete physical examination, and then put together an estimate for services. During the consultation, we also want to determine your wishes and goals for your pet and their treatment. We believe that by doing this we can provide you and your pet with the most accurate information about your pet’s medical condition, prognosis, options for care, and the costs associated with treatment. We require FULL PAYMENT at the time of service. Complete payment is due when your pet is discharged.
